2 tbsp butter ▢1/2 tsp salt ▢1/2 tsp cayenne pepper optional ▢1/4 tsp cinnamon ▢2 large sweet potatoes or 3 medium, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes ▢1 lb bacon strips cut into thirds ▢1/4 c brown sugar ▢maple syrup warmed

Step - 1

Preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare a baking tray by lining it with parchment paper. Butter should be melted in a large, microwave-safe basin. Combine the cinnamon, cayenne, and salt.

Toss in the cubes of sweet potatoes until they are coated evenly. Each potato cube should be encased in one bacon piece and secured with a skewer.

Step - 2

Reduce the heat, cover, and simmer the pan for 15 minutes. Stir every four to five minutes. Potatoes should be cooked until nearly tender.

Step - 3

Spread each potato that has been wrapped onto a baking tray. Granulate the brown sugar on top.

Step - 4

Bake until the potatoes are tender and the bacon is crisp-like, approximately 38 to 40 minutes.

Step - 5

Dip the cubes, if desirable, in warm maple syrup.
